Preparing for your wax and how to look after your skin afterwards.

  • Allow the hair to grow. The ideal length is about ¼ inch long (about the size of a grain of rice)
  • Avoid shaving the area to be waxed
  • Avoid direct sun exposure to the area for 72 hours prior to treatment
  • Do not exfoliate within 72 hours of your treatment
  • Wear comfortable, loose fitting clothing to your appointment
  • Complete your consultation, ensuring you declare any medical conditions or treatments
  • Keep your newly waxed area clean, cool, and avoid touching it
  • Avoid scratching, heat, or causing friction to the area
  • Wear clean, loose fitting clothing
  • Have only lukewarm baths and showers
  • Do not apply perfumed products, exfoliating products, deodorants, powders, or lotions to the area
  • Do not use saunas, hot tubs, steam rooms, or massages
  • Do not go swimming, attend the gym, or participate in any other form of sport, exercise, or dance classes
  • Do not expose your waxed area to the sun, sun bed, or apply any form of fake tan
  • Contact me immediately if you experience any adverse reactions or side effects and seek professional medical advice if necessary
  • After 72 hours post-treatment, gently exfoliate and moisturise your waxed area on a regular basis
